Coach Barbie

Coach Barbie has a mixed background of both figure skating and roller derby. She was professionally trained in figure skating until the age of 16. When she discovered roller derby as an adult, she felt it was the perfect combination of sport and skill to put her skating experience to use! She was active in the derby community for 6+ yrs, having skated with Providence Roller Derby, NH Roller Derby and Monadnock Roller Derby. Coach Barbie had been a Co-Captain with one of the home teams for NHRD (Granite Skate Troopers) and had Co-Coached Monadnock Roller Derby while living in the region. She enjoys being able to teach the sport that she loves best and hopes that it will ignite the same passion for skating in others! Aside from skating, Coach Barbie enjoys live music, antiquing/thrifting, sewing and yoga. When she is not at practice, she enjoys spending time with her daughter (who sometimes likes to skate!), Pickle the Pug, friends and family.
